Well, so that you don’t think all of my geese are so pretty, here are a couple that got away from me!  I think they look like volcanoes instead of nice sharp mountain peaks.  They’ve blown their tops!!  Luckily, I only ended up with a few of these and I decided that I’m going to live with them! No one will notice, right?

This is a quilt for my husband’s older daughter.  She’s expecting the end of April.  Her sister, Emily, drew the pictures and colored them with crayons, then they were ironed to set the color and take out the extra wax.  Emily picked out the fabrics and I put it together and quilted it.  Emily also designed the label.  I think Emily did a great job and Caroline will love her special quilt!!

This is a quilt that I stated for my husband for Christmas.  It was impossible to work on it without him walking into my sewing room for some reason.  He didn’t seem to visit unless I pulled this quilt out to work on!  Well, it stretched on to Valentine’s Day and I ended up giving it to him unfinished.  I never did have time enough to spread it out, trim it, and get it ready for the binding until after I gave it to him.  Finally!!  Completed!!  The reason I call it a “Modified” Turning Twenty is that I wanted to incorporate the Clara Barton fabric into the large block – which I did.  I really like the Turning Twenty pattern!  Even with the modification I made, it still went together quickly and easily!  Well, except for the part with the husband appearing in my doorway every time I started working on it!!!

I’m working on a few quilts right now but things have gotten in the way and I haven’t been able to get them complete.  I did, however, get this quilt finished for my beautiful great niece.  She’s 2 months old and such a sweet angel!!  I have a feeling she will end of with a closet full of quilts!!Eliza on her fairy tale quilt.

I am also a lot better than  I used to be with labels – I used to never put a label on a quilt.  I’ve gotten hooked on designing my label in photoshop.  I just love personalizing them!!

Quilt Label for Eliza

This is my great niece, Eliza, with the quilt I made for her.   She’s the cutest little miracle EVER!  And, no, as her Great (emphasis on ‘Great’) Aunt, I’m not partial!!  I know a cutie when I see one!!

Great Niece, Eliza
